When should I book my maternity session?

My suggestion is to book between 6-8 months. This way you're definitely showing, but not too uncomfortable. However, do not wait until the last minute to do it, I want to make sure I have plenty of time to get you in.


How do we schedule the newborn session?

Book while you are still pregnant. Again, I want to make sure I have lots of time to schedule you in. From there, I will put your due date on the calendar and keep my schedule fairly clear. When the baby is born, contact me as soon as possible. I like to shoot within 2 weeks of birth because baby will still have that sweet little curve in their bottom that we all love. They will also sleep a lot and give us best poses.

Where do we have the session?

Anywhere the natural light takes us. Since I am a natural light photographer, I do not use a studio. We can hold the session outdoors or in your home where everyone is comfortable and relaxed. You don't even have to wear shoes if you don't want to :)

How long does it take to get my pictures?

During the summer it can take up to 3 weeks, but most likely sooner. A lot of times I will put some fun previews on my blog and Facebook page.

How many photos are on the disk?

There will be at least 50 images on the disk, but most likely more. You will have an assortment of fine art, color and black and white images to choose from.

What do I wear?

Whatever you want. I want your photos to really reflect who you are, so wear something that represents you.

Fun and bright clothing is always cute on children. Hats, umbrellas, boots and other fun accessories always add a nice little touch.

Session Details

Our session is unscripted, fun and relaxed. When I say that it's organic, it means we'll use what we have and go with it. There won't be many posed shots, just real life. It will be yours and will not look like anyone else's. I want you and your family have fun being yourselves. That is what makes the best memories.

The packages are quite simple because they aren't really packages at all. Instead of picking 2 or 3 of your favorite photos, you get them all.

This is why instead of designating prints, I offer a CD and a product credit. This option gives you rights to all of your photos. Always. You can print them whenever you want because I give you the rights to the images as well. It also gives you the freedom to create your own package and pick whatever prints you want.

You can always add fun albums and prints, but not required.
